| Origin Story | Meja was raised in the Bronx by her Swede immigrant parents, being the second child to a slightly older (in age) family meant that she was taught to be able to physically stand up for herself due to the segregation her family had undergone in the last few years. Her older brother Viktor's powers had presented when he was on field of a football game. He'd been in and out of hiding ever since, and her mother had to repress/keep her own powers a secret for most of Meja's life. That all changed when she was on her way home from karate class one night, a small group of anti-mutant gangsters cornered and attempted to beat Meja up. Having a decent training, she fought them off for a good ten or so minutes before finding herself pinned to the ground and soon to be the victim of rape. That's when she screamed from the very base of her soul and attacked the man pinning her down. He died almost instantly from fourth degree burns to the face, neck and right hand. As his mates attempted to aid him, Meja made her escape home. Badly beaten, she missed weeks of both school and karate. That's when she knew her life would never be the same. |
