Physical Description | Rahne is a wild eyed and feisty pre-teen girl with unkempt auburn hair. She is usually dirty and disheveled in appearance with little care or consideration for her appearance or hygiene. When she transforms into her wolf-like form, her body changes dramatically. Her face becomes more elongated, with sharp, wolfish features, including pointed ears and a snout. Her body is covered in russet fur, and her eyes glow with an intense yellowish-gold hue. In this form, she exhibits a strong, athletic build, with enhanced strength, agility, and heightened senses, making her a formidable force in both human and wolf forms. In her wolf form, she is a hulking beast with auburn fur, impressive fangs and claws. Her eyes take on a vibrant yellow color adding to her predatory presences. |

Personality & Traits
General Overview | Rahne is a mutant with the power to transform herself into a wolf at will, or into a transitional form which combines human and lupine aspects. | |
Mutant Power(s) | Lycanthropy: Much like the werewolves of folklore, Rahne can transform into a wolf. However, she is not a werewolf, and therefore is not restricted to the limitations of a creature of the night. She can also retain full memory of herself, and therefore has her human consciousness while in her wolf and transitional forms. In her transitional form she is able to stand erect on her legs and retain the use of her hands, but is also able to run and maneuver on all fours like a wolf. Enhanced Size: Proportionately greater in size than that of her human form, her hybrid wolf-human bones and muscles make Wolfsbane taller and stronger. This form also has a higher weight and mass than her human form. Enhanced Strength: Greater strength than that of a normal male adult human, due to her enhanced muscular build. Enhanced Speed: Enhanced muscles are swift as a wolf but to the proportional size of a human. Enhanced Reflexes: Although enhanced her muscles and skeleton are also extremely flexible, giving her the agility of an animal. Hyper-Keen Senses: Keen animal senses of sight, smell & hearing combined with human intelligence are heightened further than that of a regular wolf. Claws & Fangs: In her half & full wolf form, Rahne possesses sharpened nails along with pronounced canines with which to rip and tear through most substances. Regenerative Healing Factor: Wolfsbane is capable of regenerating damaged or destroyed areas of her body with much greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. Injuries that result in massive tissue damage such as bullet wounds, slashes, punctures, blunt force trauma, and severe burns heal completely, without so much as a scar, in a shorter amount of time. Enhanced Vision: Although not an ability possessed by natural wolves, in her lupine form, Wolfsbane is able to see into the infrared and ultraviolet portions of the electromagnetic spectrum. |

Origin Story | Rahne was born in the remote mining village of Ullapool in the north highlands of Scotland. Rahne’s mother died when she was seven, leaving her father to raise her alone. Malcolm Sinclair was a coal miner like most of the men in Ullapool and when his wife died he found himself to be ill equipped to raise a child on his own. Always fond of the drink, he lost himself in a bottle leaving him a surly and short-tempered man that was prone to screaming and shouting at Rahne. Tension and neglect rose as Rahne grew older and when her mutation appeared, she found herself living more as a wolf than a girl. As time passed she grew wilder and wilder and the village of Ullapool became less and less tolerant of the strange beast that haunted their streets killing chickens and chasing their pets. Eventually the village clergyman, Reverend Craig, was requested to intervene. Reverend Craig confronted Malcolm over the unruly daughter he failed to raise and Malcolm agreed that Rahne had the devil inside of her and he would happily surrender her care to the church if it meant saving her soul. Rahne’s time with Reverend Craig was short. He was a violent caregiver citing the biblical punishment in order to save her from the devil. Rahne’s response was to bite Reverend Craig so badly that she shattered the bones in his forearm and he required 35 stitches and emergency medical care. This event caused Rahne to gain even more attention from the Police Service of Scotland. Through the network of the Scottish Police Services Authority, Dr. Moira MacTaggert was contacted about a mutant child at risk of punishment to the fullest extent of the law. She intervened and became Rahne’s guardian, taking her to Muir for further evaluation. After a short and disruptive stint on Muir Island, Moira contacted Professor Xavier and they agreed Rahne would fare better at Xavier’s school. Her wild and impulsive behavior was hoped to be quelled in a more structured and supportive environment. |
