Golden Rules of Sim Life

Golden Rule 1: Real life is always more important than simming.
Golden Rule 2: Courtesy is a two-way street.
Golden Rule 3: Communication is key.

Sim Guidelines

1. Our rating is set at 16+ for content but all players must be at least 18 years of age. This applies to both the sim website and within the Discord server. Specifics regarding the rating can be seen on the "Join" form.

2. Leaves of Absence (LOA's) will be granted upon request, but notice (even sudden notice) is expected and will be appreciated. See Golden Rules 1, 2, and 3.

3. There are no set posting requirements, but limited activity will be addressed on or around 21 days to discuss future interest and opportunities. See Golden Rules 2 and 3.

4. Public out-of-character (OOC) interactions, such as the Discord channel, are for friendly chatting and plotting. Personal conflicts ought to be kept private and worked out as adults. The GM (and designated AGM if applicable) will arbitrate disputes fairly and respectfully as needed, but there is an expectation for respectful interaction at all times. See Golden Rule 2.

5. There are no ranks, which means the only means of measuring characters are by their mutant mastery (X-1 through X-6 rating). The rating is not meant to reflect or reward a player's talent, and is only indicative of the character's place in the story. The IC Chain-of-Command (CoC) does not place players above or below one another with the exceptions of the GM. See Golden Rules 1 and 2.

6. Any players who become Team Leaders will be consulted before a decision is made to add a new player to their roster (and a private straw poll for new Team Leaders), but the final decision is reserved for the GM. See Golden Rules 2 and 3.

7. In our strive for excellence, we want to exercise and maintain high standards of comic-bookiness (TM pending). This means careful consideration of source material and general on-brand development. It also follows that character decisions, plot twists, and all else may face polite questions and scrutiny by other players or the GM. Creative differences will be resolved amicably, but they will not be ignored. See Golden Rules 2 and 3.

8. Have fun! See Golden Rules 1, 2, and 3.
