Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters
A private boarding school in Salem Center, New York is in reality a training facility for heroic mutant advocacy and activism for peaceful coexistence between humans and mutants. Unknown to the public, senior students and graduates of the school have become crisis intervention specialists affectionately known as the X-Men.
In the dawn of the final decade of the 20th century, a disease known as the Legacy Virus threatens to eradicate the mutant population. The virus becomes a global pandemic that even Charles Xavier and his First Class have fallen victim to. But before the Legacy Virus claims them, their bodies are preserved in stasis until a cure can be discovered. The lone survivor is Jean Grey, who takes on the role of Headmistress of Xavier's School while continuing the work of the X-Men.
During this trying time, Jean looks beyond the walls of the academy and she begins to recruit mutants from wherever she is able to find them in order to form an ALTERNATE CLASS. It is hoped these new mutants will continue the fight for the future of peaceful coexistence between mutants and humans, and perhaps discover a cure for the Legacy Virus.
X-MEN: ALTERNATE CLASS is rated 18+ for content.

The room they had given him was too still.
It wasn’t the size of it. Skjoldr had known halls larger and sleeping spaces smaller. It was the softness. The bed too deep, the chair too willing to bend, the way warmth lived in the walls without flame or labour. Even…

Maeve stood outside Jean Grey’s office longer than she meant to.
Not frozen. Just… stalled.
Her knuckles hovered inches from the door, flexing once, twice, as if they belonged to someone else. She could hear the house around her—footsteps down the corridor, a distant laugh from somewhere she couldn’t place,…
